A Walk in January

Field Six covers the northernmost boundary of our reserve and is almost totally woodland. It is quite a dry field, even at this time of the year.
   
   

   
Our largest beech at the bottom of the field stands proudly against the sky.

Its a good time to see the mosses on the willows
   
With the lack of foliage the lichen show up clearly.
